Datchet sailing club K1 open 9th and 10th July 2022

Teign Corinthian Yacht Club 3rd September 2022

This is the week before the Torbay Nationals!!!!! Its an opportunity to compete and get together and swap tips at a tidal Open Meeting, then leave your boats at Teignmouth before heading to the Nationals (just 8 miles away) on Friday 9th September.

The plan for the Open is this:

Saturday  3rd September, sailing on the River Teign estuary from Coombe Cellars, postcode TQ12 4RT. Boats can be dropped off in our boat park on Friday 2nd if so desired.

09:45 start

3 races back to back

Prizegiving and BBQ in afternoon

If enough people show interest Teignmouth will host a Long Distance Race on the Sunday, 4th September which would probably be held in conjunction with club racing. Anticipating a club line start we’d sail to first laid mark and then head downstream to Shaldon Bridge, turn a laid mark (or 2) and return up river to clubhouse with finish off the shore of the clubhouse. Straight line distance there and back approximately 6km. HW around noon so would start around 10 or 10:30. All this to be confirmed depending on positive feedback for K1’ers and club officials.

More to follow.
